Traveler's Missions 2012

I confess, that I have not been very good at blogging about this latest trip we took last month. With five websites, six Facebook pages and a Twitter account to keep updated, the blog usually slips between the cracks.

The 2012 Traveler's Missions trip to the Yankton Sioux Reservation is over, but the work continues. The team from Our Savior's Lutheran (LCMC) in Callender, Iowa and Pastor Ellen and I, from St. Brendan's in Isanti, are now at home. The trip has been a blessing beyond our wildest expectations. The folks from Iowa worked hard and long, and finished far more work than Pastor Tim Harris expected. The Ride Across the Rez received over $650 for Hope House Recovery Center raised enough money to buy a new stove/range and shower stall for Hope House Recovery Center on the Yankton Sioux Reservation, which was the goal. We would love to bring another team down here, later this summer or next year (or both!) and next time, maybe I won't ride alone. Thank you for your prayers and support!
