Had a rare weekend off, so I packed my bags and took a ride. Stayed the night at Banning State Park, went farther north to Finlayson, then back down the Willard Munger State Trail to my car waiting back in Hinckley, MN. Not a hard ride, other than that it rained the last eight or nine miles, but demanding, none the less. Thirty-five miles in two days is the most I have ridden sequentially since Karelia in 1997. Even in the search for Keith Kennedy, I had a day of respite between the two 16-plus mile days on the mountain bike. It was good though, other than the rain. Had too much gear, but I'll do better next time. It was a nice change.
We proceeded on...
